Qualifications

• Must have a technical diploma or higher in Bricklaying and Masonry or related field with seven years of Bricklaying and Masonry work experience.
• Registered apprenticeship and Journey level experience in Bricklaying and Masonry.
• Minimum of four years work experience in Bricklaying and Masonry, with recency requirements within the last five years or teaching experience in post-secondary Bricklaying and Masonry in the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and teaching-related activities.
• Manage the classroom/laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor and revise for course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
• Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
• Assess student performance and advise on academic issues.
• Collaborate with advisory committee in program area.
• Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
• Promote the education/training program and participate in recruitment and marketing efforts.
• Support student organizations and activities.
• Develop relationships with business and industry.
• Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
• Maintain certification and professional development.
