Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Commercial Marketplace Strategy & Operations Intern in South San Francisco for Spring 2027. You will analyze site-level performance, surface opportunities, and test hypotheses to support cross‑functional decisions across Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Utilization.

You will learn how levers like pricing, promotions, and demand shaping interact in a real delivery network and build repeatable dashboards and playbooks to improve marketplace health.

Qualifications

• Able to work full-time onsite in South San Francisco for the duration of the Spring 2027 internship.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting findings to cross‑functional partners.
• Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program.
• Ability to investigate performance at different levels of detail—from a single site to a cohort or metro—and turn findings into a clear recommendation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience using spreadsheets or similar tools to organize, analyze, and communicate data.
• A collaborative, self‑directed working style and curiosity about marketplaces, logistics, and how technology can improve access to goods.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about what is happening at a site and which sites suit growth programs.
• Prepare readouts, surface opportunities, test hypotheses, and support decisions across teams.
• Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards to improve visibility into performance.
• Monitor capacity, utilization, and customer outcomes to inform growth plans.
• Turn insights into action, measure results, and scale what works.
