Job summary

Built is the AI-first platform transforming construction and real estate finance. The Marketplace Operations Manager will own pricing, margin, and vendor quality, partnering with Product, Finance, and Vendor Operations to scale services and liquidity.

You'll lead cross-functional efforts, design repeatable processes for new services, and drive commercial decisions with real P&L impact. Nashville-based role with opportunities for growth and equity options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business operations, pricing/commercial strategy, or strategic finance.
• Experience at a marketplace, fintech, or B2B SaaS company is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience designing pricing models, commercial frameworks, or margin-management systems.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; experience with data visualization tools such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau.
• Track record partnering with senior stakeholders on commercial decisions with real P&L impact.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration; able to navigate Product, Finance, Vendor Ops.
• Comfort building frameworks from ambiguous problems and moving to execution.
• Nice to have familiarity with construction finance, lending, or real estate.

Responsibilities

• Design and build pricing frameworks for Built Marketplace and apply to new services.
• Lead pricing analysis and recommendations for managed-services offerings, balancing competitiveness and margin.
• Own and report on marketplace take rate and margin performance across services and geographies.
• Partner with Finance on cost-to-serve instrumentation and data connectivity.
• Monitor vendor supply/demand liquidity and vendor tiering to meet buyer demand.
• Direct cross-cutting operational initiatives and standardize new-service launches.
• Serve as the marketplace's cross-functional voice with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Vendor Ops.
• Resolve cross-side billing or disputes not owned by a single team.
