Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Marketplace team to lead engineers building scalable platform capabilities that power seller onboarding, catalog, pricing, and order management across the marketplace ecosystem.

You will partner with product, architecture, and operations to define technical strategy, ensure reliability and security, and coach high‑performing teams in a hybrid on‑site/remote environment at the Richfield, MN campus.

Qualifications

5+ years of back-end software engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
4+ years as a software developer in web technologies like React.
2+ years leading engineering teams.
2+ years of experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, Dynatrace).
2+ years of experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
1+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

Lead and develop engineering teams delivering Marketplace Platform capabilities.
Architect and develop scalable solutions in a microservices CQRS/Event Sourced architecture.
Partner with stakeholders to define priorities and technical strategy.
Drive predictable delivery with Agile and CI/CD best practices.
Provide technical leadership for cloud-based and enterprise systems.
Coach and mentor engineers and collaborate with vendor teams.
