Job summary

Apex Companies in Fort Myers is seeking a Marketing Proposal Assistant to support the marketing team through proposal prep, resume creation, and layout. The role emphasizes attention to detail and effective communication across marketing tasks.

You will monitor project opportunities, assist at events, and develop design skills in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office. Hybrid work may be available after training; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree, certification, or equivalent in communications, marketing, business, English, journalism, or related field.
• 0–3+ years of professional experience.
• Foundational writing and editing abilities; graphic design a plus.
• Ability to learn Adobe InDesign.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
• Occasional event support during nonbusiness hours.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in-person at the Fort Myers office; hybrid possible after training.
• Occasional travel between Apex offices for proposals.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Marketing team in the proposal process: info gathering, resume creation, document layout, proposal submission, and interview presentations.
• Monitor websites for new project opportunities.
• Support special events and trade shows.
• Develop layout and graphic design skills in Adobe software (InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Proofread and ensure quality of marketing materials; aesthetics and compliance reviews.
• Update CRM with relevant data.
• Travel between Apex offices and client locations to deliver proposals as needed.
• Fulfill additional administrative tasks.
