About Fonzi

The current recruiting process is highly inefficient for companies and fundamentally broken for candidates. Fonzi is an AI-powered recruiter that stacks the deck in the hiring team's favor by—sourcing, reviewing applications, interviewing, and verifying top candidates before they even apply. The core features our of AI agents enable hiring managers and recruiters to tap into the Fonzi Talent Network to find qualified candidates, score resumes and run phone screen candidates automatically, and filter out fraudulent and unqualified applicants. This all works where HR teams do—in their ATS, inbox, and notetaker.

Founded by longtime friends Brett Martin and Yang Mou, Fonzi soft-launched in November 2024. Much of the founding team has previously worked with Brett and Yang, a testament to their leadership and positive approach to company culture. Although only a few months old, Fonzi is already generating revenue. The company is well-capitalized, with eight-figure funding from leading venture capital firms, including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Boldstart Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and more. Building on this early success, Fonzi is rapidly scaling operations to establish itself as the market leader in disrupting the HR world.

The Role

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team and lead our speaking appearance and influencer marketing strategy, positioning Fonzi as the category leader in AI-powered recruiting. In this role, you will secure high-impact speaking opportunities—including conferences, podcasts, TV, and industry events—and manage our influencer marketing efforts. This work will directly contribute to our business growth and brand authority. The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Head of Marketing and may eventually oversee full-time offshore support resources. Our Head of Marketing has previously built and executed strategies in these two channels that generated a full year of media appearances and millions of views across short-form video platforms. All our marketing processes blend AI-powered automation with human expertise to consistently punch above our weight class. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public relations and social media, along with a strong appreciation for automation, process efficiency, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and scale influencer marketing multiple campaigns
• Position Fonzi as a category leader in AI-powered recruiting
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing
• Use AI tools to automate and optimize workflows
• Oversee and manage offshore marketing support resources
• Track and report on performance metrics and KPIs
• Stay up-to-date on PR, social media, and recruiting trends

About You Required Experience & Skills

• 2–4 years of professional experience in marketing, PR, or social media
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to take full ownership of projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns or projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated excitement and eagerness to learn and grow
• High-output work ethic with a track record of getting things done
• Experience using marketing tools or platforms (bonus if AI-driven)
• Strong organizational and process efficiency skills
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with lots of autonomy

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Prior experience at a PR or influencer marketing agency
• Familiarity with securing speaking appearances or managing event outreach
• Deep interest in AI and how it can be applied to modern marketing workflows
• Comfort managing offshore or remote support teams
• A portfolio of influencer collaborations or PR placements you've led
• Examples of content or campaigns you've owned from end-to-end
• Insight into current trends in recruiting, AI, or short-form video platforms

What Success Looks Like

In this role, we'll know you're successful when:

• We are working with creators who are generating hundreds of thousands to millions of views
• Our founders are regularly appearing at major industry conferences without sponsorship requirements
• Fonzi team members are regularly appearing on podcasts, vblogs, etc.
• You are successful in prepping our teams for these speaking appearances
• Your efforts are directly contributing to our sales funnel with qualified opportunities
• You're proactively identifying and improving our current processes and workflows to make these channels more efficient
• You've taken ownership to innovate beyond your core responsibilities, creating new opportunities or initiatives that drive meaningful impact for Fonzi
• You're balancing day-to-day execution with continuous improvement of our strategies

Location & Work Style

This is a fully remote position requiring 4+ hours of overlap with Eastern Time (EST) working hours. We welcome candidates from the United States, Canada, and English-native expats living in Central America.

Salaries are based on market value in each region. We believe in providing competitive compensation relative to local market rates.

For US-based candidates:

• Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 based upon experience plus equity
