The current recruiting process is highly inefficient for companies and fundamentally broken for candidates. Fonzi is an AI-powered recruiter that stacks the deck in the hiring team's favor by—sourcing, reviewing applications, interviewing, and verifying top candidates before they even apply. The core features our of AI agents enable hiring managers and recruiters to tap into the Fonzi Talent Network to find qualified candidates, score resumes and run phone screen candidates automatically, and filter out fraudulent and unqualified applicants. This all works where HR teams do—in their ATS, inbox, and notetaker.
Founded by longtime friends Brett Martin and Yang Mou, Fonzi soft-launched in November 2024. Much of the founding team has previously worked with Brett and Yang, a testament to their leadership and positive approach to company culture. Although only a few months old, Fonzi is already generating revenue. The company is well-capitalized, with eight-figure funding from leading venture capital firms, including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Boldstart Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and more. Building on this early success, Fonzi is rapidly scaling operations to establish itself as the market leader in disrupting the HR world.
The Role
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team and lead our speaking appearance and influencer marketing strategy, positioning Fonzi as the category leader in AI-powered recruiting. In this role, you will secure high-impact speaking opportunities—including conferences, podcasts, TV, and industry events—and manage our influencer marketing efforts. This work will directly contribute to our business growth and brand authority. The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Head of Marketing and may eventually oversee full-time offshore support resources. Our Head of Marketing has previously built and executed strategies in these two channels that generated a full year of media appearances and millions of views across short-form video platforms. All our marketing processes blend AI-powered automation with human expertise to consistently punch above our weight class. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public relations and social media, along with a strong appreciation for automation, process efficiency, and organizational skills. This is a fully remote position requiring 4+ hours of overlap with Eastern Time (EST) working hours. We welcome candidates from the United States, Canada, and English-native expats living in Central America.
