Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

Overview

MongoDB is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and detail-oriented Marketing Operations Manager to join our Marketing Operations department, specifically the Technology & Automation team. This role will focus on owning and managing the project management tools and their processes used by our Marketing department.

You will be instrumental in configuring and maintaining project management platforms, developing and optimizing workflows, and enhancing collaboration across teams in projects. You will also lead adoption efforts, ensure tools are aligned with team needs, and support operational excellence through data-driven insights. This is a high-impact role designed to help marketing scale efficiently through thoughtful system design and cross-functional partnership.

This role can based anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • System Ownership: Serve as the system owner of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Workfront, Monday.com, Wrike, etc…), ensuring they are optimized for usability, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives
  • Workflow Management: Collaborate with Marketing and Marketing Ops teams to design, implement, and evolve workflows that enhance productivity and drive operational consistency
  • Tool Adoption & Configuration: Champion the adoption of project management platforms, configuring and maintaining systems to support changing team structures and priorities
  • Reporting: Build, maintain, and share clear and actionable reports to support visibility and data-driven decision-making within project management and operations
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a connector between Marketing, Ops, and other teams to facilitate smooth communication and optimize shared processes
  • Project & Initiative Support: Collaborate on broader Marketing Operations initiatives and projects, working closely with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and timely execution
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain documentation and training materials, including process guidelines, intake procedures, and project management templates
  • Change Management & Enablement: Support training and enablement programs to help drive tool adoption, ensuring successful change management across teams
  • Multi-Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment where quick thinking and proactive problem-solving are key
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Work/Project management, specifically in Marketing or Marketing Operations
  • Proven hands-on experience with project management tools, including implementation and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of project management best practices, including workflow and process optimization
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, using data to drive business insights and improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across diverse teams
