Job description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for bringing to life the strategy, planning and execution of the brand's digital marketing presence. This role serves as the central liaison between internal and external resources—managing meetings, coordinating creative, planning campaigns, maintaining launch calendars and executing content updates on all digital channels. This role is also responsible for learning, driving and protecting the voice of the brand and writing and/or guiding copy to support all marketing channels. This role requires flexibility working in a fast‑paced growing business and a unique blend of creativity, analytical insight, project management skill and hands‑on execution.

Responsibilities
  • Guide quarterly planning sessions for the team, maintaining the brand’s changing content calendar with campaign timelines and launch plans across website, email/SMS, social and paid marketing channels.
  • Work cross-functionally with all members of the brand, including CEO, CMO, operations, product, creative and web development to ensure alignment and timing of messaging, visuals and product details.
  • Write clear, on‑brand and optimized customer‑facing copy for our marketing channels, ensuring consistency and clarity.
  • Integrate deeply into Magic Hour’s communications channels, collaborating with founder, product director, designers, agencies, marketing and ecommerce/digital team members to create consistent, compelling messaging that speak to customers on their level, in their voice.
  • Provide agencies and consultants with clear creative briefs and assets and manage internal approvals to ensure content is brand‑consistent and effective.
  • Manage tagging, organization, and storage of creative assets in Dropbox and brand directories for internal and external use.
  • Maintain and grow the brand’s Shopify 2.0 website alongside external web design and development resources, including bug fixes, site updates, adding new products and bundles, creating sale pages, new collections, UX enhancements, feature rollouts, and CRO improvements.
  • Manage on site product listings and merchandising tasks on a weekly basis, including homepage and collection pages.
  • Oversee CRM and Loyalty programs alongside outside retention resources, building and deploying up to 5–7 weekly email campaigns in Klaviyo and SMS campaigns in Attentive weekly.
  • Support CMO in gathering and analyzing reported metrics from internal and external sources to build monthly marketing decks and impact strategy adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize analytics to understand user behavior, map customer journeys, and identify opportunities for growth and retention and prioritize optimizations alongside the CMO.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years marketing copywriting experience
  • 5+ years working in digital marketing space
  • Relentlessly curious and unwilling to settle for surface level understanding (we can’t provide clarity we don’t ourselves possess).
  • Highly proactive—you don’t wait for a brief to be assembled for you, and don’t expect things to be tidy. You find answers and aim to make things clearer/better than they’ve ever been.
  • Self‑starter, comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Extreme flexibility—while you’re a planner and able to prepare for what’s ahead with ease, you’ve worked in fast‑paced environments and embrace change as new opportunities emerge without getting discouraged.
  • You’re always ready for a changing landscape and teams can count on you to be the one to know what’s changed and how we’re solving for it.
  • Impeccable briefing skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a proven track record of distilling details and processes into simple, digestible language.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape and emerging digital tools, including experience with Shopify 2.0 and Klaviyo or similar platforms.
