Communications Project Manager

Location: Hybrid (Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA)

Pay: $22-24p/hr.

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Position Summary

Seeking a Marketing & Communications Project Manager to lead and coordinate internal communications initiatives across multiple business functions. This role combines project management, communications strategy, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled content development. The ideal candidate will have experience managing communication projects, developing scalable content processes, and leveraging Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve content creation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver communications projects supporting business growth, employee programs, change management, IT security, safety initiatives, and organizational communications.
• Develop and maintain scalable communications workflows for content creation, review, approvals, and distribution.
• Utilize AI tools, LLMs, and Generative AI platforms to create, edit, summarize, and refine communications content.
• Design repeatable processes that improve communication efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Coordinate project timelines, stakeholder communication, and deliverable tracking across multiple teams.
• Manage tasks, schedules, and approvals using Adobe Workfront, Microsoft Planner, and other workflow management tools.
• Monitor project status, adjust timelines, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure content aligns with AP Style, organizational standards, and communication best practices.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and consistency across all communications materials.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or Project Management.
• Experience with CRM, Marketing Automation, or Workflow Management Systems such as Adobe Workfront, HubSpot, or Microsoft Planner.
• Strong Project Management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience translating complex business topics into clear, concise communications.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience using AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI tools to improve communications workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field.
• Experience supporting communications initiatives in a corporate environment.
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering and AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and managing multiple communication initiatives concurrently.
