The role collaborates with leadership and design teams to produce compelling materials and manage marketing workflows in a fast-paced studio environment.

The ideal candidate has a background in architecture or design, is highly organized, and can manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a strong graphic sensibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in architecture or design.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign; working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience preparing proposals, qualifications packages, and graphic presentations.
• Excellent organizational, writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Strong graphic sensibility, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Proposals & Marketing: Prepare RFP responses, qualifications packages, presentations, portfolios, project sheets, and other marketing materials.
• Business Development: Research prospective clients and projects, maintain contact databases, track opportunities, and coordinate outreach and follow-up activities.
• Graphic Communications: Produce visually compelling materials using Adobe InDesign and related software, maintaining the firm's established graphic standards.
• Awards & Publications: Coordinate award submissions, project announcements, website updates, social media, and press materials.
• Marketing Operations: Organize project information, photography, renderings, resumes, and marketing resources while managing schedules and deadlines.
• AI & Digital Tools: Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve research, content development, information management, and marketing workflows.

Position Overview

New York City | In-Studio

S9 Architecture is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to support the firm's marketing, communications, and business development efforts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, visually skilled, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines. A background in architecture or architectural design is strongly preferred, along with experience producing high-quality marketing materials within a design-oriented practice.

This position works directly with firm leadership and architectural teams to coordinate proposals, marketing initiatives, business development activities, and communications.
