Job summary

Olson Kundig in Chicago is seeking a Marketing Manager, Business Development to lead the BD function, coordinate pursuit production, and support strategic positioning across diverse project types. You will work with the Director of Marketing, BD, and other leaders to align team workflow and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong BD instincts, deep AEC industry knowledge, and the ability to balance day-to-day execution with strategic awareness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Communications, Business, Architecture, or related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant AEC industry experience.
• Advanced proficiency in BD operations, pursuit management, proposal development, and team leadership.
• Digital literacy across MS Office, design tools, and ERP (Deltek).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Marketing Coordinators and Graphic Designers in BD functions.
• Coordinate pursuit materials, proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and interview packages.
• Maintain visibility of the BD pipeline and manage contracts, LOAs, and ASRs.
• Collaborate with BD and Communications teams for awards, events, and shared initiatives.
• Track budgets and provide monthly BD activity reporting.
• Develop and maintain BD templates, systems, and processes.
