As a Market Operator Specialist / Sales – Culinary Enthusiast at Bridor, you will drive sales and expand market share for our artisan breads and pastries throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. You will cultivate key accounts and build strong relationships with coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, colleges and universities, foodservice operators, and hotels.

This role combines culinary creativity with sales and business development. It offers the opportunity to grow into a Regional Sales Manager role over time and take on greater leadership responsibilities as you contribute to the region’s success. What You Will Be Doing

• Sales strategy development: Partner with sales and marketing to develop and execute sales strategies
• Identify key markets, customer segments, and distribution channels to increase sales and market penetration
• Stay informed on culinary trends and flavor profiles to keep our offerings competitive and appealing
• Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective customers and conduct tastings, demonstrations, and presentations that showcase product quality and versatility
• New business development: Identify and pursue opportunities with restaurants, cafés, hotels, catering companies, cruise lines, and retail outlets, and build partnerships that expand market presence and generate revenue
• Sales support and training: Respond to customer inquiries, conduct product training, and share pastry techniques, product features, and flavor combinations to support the sales team

Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, is required to accommodate client meetings, industry events, and special sales activities

Position Requirements

• 2–5 years of progressive sales experience in specialty food distribution, preferably in the industrial baking sector, or experience as a pastry chef
• Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Business Administration, or a related field
• Passion for the food industry and a strong drive to succeed and make an impact
• Strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers
• Creativity in pastry design, flavor development, and product presentation
• Knowledge of industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor analysis
• Ability to collaborate with sales, marketing, and culinary teams
• Willingness to travel up to 60% for client visits, trade shows, and food events

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
