Bridor is seeking a Market Operator Specialist / Sales in the Greater Miami area. This full-time role involves in-field work four days a week across South Florida, developing new business with cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and hotels.

Responsibilities

• Grow existing accounts: Introduce additional products, provide responsive support, and help resolve customer concerns.
• Organize your territory: Plan appointments and driving routes, coordinate sample prep, and follow through on requests.

Market Operator Specialist / Sales

Location: Miami, Florida area
Territory: South Florida
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
Schedule: Four days per week in the field throughout South Florida

Position Summary

We are seeking a personable, curious, and motivated individual to introduce our artisan breads and pastries to cafés, bakeries, restaurants, hotels, colleges and universities, and other foodservice businesses. This opportunity is ideal for early-career talent or someone transitioning from baking, culinary, hospitality, retail, or customer service into sales.

Working with the Regional Sales Manager, local distributors, and brokers, you will develop new business, build customer relationships, and conduct product tastings and demonstrations. You will spend four days each week in the field and contact prospective customers daily through cold calls and introductory visits. You must enjoy initiating conversations, discovering customer needs, and following up to earn their business.

Bridor provides rigorous on-the-job training and training through our Baking Academy to develop your product knowledge, baking and presentation skills, and confidence in sales. Excellent organization, persuasive communication skills, and enthusiasm for baking are essential.

What You Will Do

Grow existing accounts: Introduce additional products, provide responsive support, and help resolve customer concerns

Organize your territory: Plan appointments and driving routes, coordinate sample preparation, and consistently follow through on customer requests and sales opportunities

Track results: Maintain accurate activity and next steps in Salesforce, review progress with the Regional Sales Manager, and share customer and market feedback

What You Bring

Comfort cold calling prospective customers and making in-person visits without an appointment

Enjoyment of baking and a strong interest in breads, pastries, and the food industry

A friendly, approachable personality and natural curiosity about customers’ businesses

Excellent organizational skills to manage appointments, travel, samples, and follow-up across multiple accounts

Persuasive verbal and written communication skills to explain product benefits, address questions, and gain customer commitment

Persistence and a positive attitude when handling rejection or developing opportunities over time

Initiative, reliability, and motivation to learn and achieve sales goals

Ability to work independently and as a team player, collaborating with others, and apply feedback

Professionalism and strong business ethics

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus willingness to learn Salesforce

Experience in baking, culinary operations, hospitality, customer service, or foodservice distribution is helpful. Education in business, marketing, culinary arts, pastry arts, or hospitality is a plus. Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Field Travel and Baking Requirements

Work in the field four days per week, driving throughout South Florida, with several hours of driving on some days

Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable personal automobile for regular business travel

Prepare and bake bread and pastry samples before customer visits, either at home, in a commercial kitchen, or at a customer’s facility

Follow Bridor’s baking instructions, food safety practices, and product presentation standards

Lift and carry product boxes weighing up to 30 pounds and transport samples and demonstration materials

Be available for occasional overnight travel, including one or two nights during some weeks for food shows, meetings, or support in other markets

Work occasional evenings and weekends for customer meetings and industry events

Compensation and Benefits

Annual base salary of $65,000–$75,000
