Job summary

Mas Development is seeking a mid- to senior-level research lead to design and operate a centralized market research function for Florida. You will consolidate tools, build automated data pipelines, and produce proactive intelligence to inform land development opportunities.

You will engage with planning departments, monitor local legislation, and distill complex municipal data into actionable signals for deal screening and strategy. Autonomy and entrepreneurship are essential.

Qualifications

Fluent English (written and spoken).
Mid-to-senior experience with the ability to build a research function independently.
Strong analytical mindset with comfort across multiple data sources.
Background in real estate, urban planning, or land development.

Responsibilities

Audit and consolidate existing research tools into a single, unified workflow.
Build and maintain automated data pipelines for market tracking (population growth, AMI, job growth, economic development).
Develop and maintain a centralized activity tracker for all target Florida markets.
Conduct deep-dive research on assigned counties and cities, producing 1-2 page market snapshots within ~2 weeks.
Present findings to the acquisitions team and full team in biweekly all-hands meetings.
Monitor Florida legislation relevant to residential developers and track infrastructure signals affecting land value.
Conduct regular outreach to planning departments and economic development offices to surface pipeline activity 1-2 weeks before public channels.
Pull average new-construction sale prices and sales velocity within target radii using public appraisal databases.
