This position will be based in Chicago, IL and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
Are you a dynamic and strategic thinker with a passion for retail channel sales? Gallo is seeking a Retail Market Development Manager to join our dedicated team and maximize the sale and distribution of our esteemed brands in retail accounts. This role is key in executing our sales and marketing strategies, understanding distributor deal structures, and identifying competitive pricing opportunities to drive market growth.
As a Retail Market Development Manager, you will spend 80% of your time working closely with distributor personnel to execute monthly programs, close gaps, and increase points of distribution. Your strategic planning skills will be crucial in maximizing sales and growing Gallo brands, making informed decisions to allocate your time and resources effectively. You will also train and coach distributor sales representatives and district managers to ensure they are well-equipped to meet performance goals and objectives.
Your responsibilities include gathering and analyzing market intelligence, identifying opportunities, and sharing insights with management to enhance Gallo's market presence. You will assist the State Manager in maintaining consistent retail prices and support recruiting efforts at key universities when needed. Additionally, you will motivate distributor management and sales teams, coordinate with the local Shopper Marketing team, and uphold Gallo standards through periodic communication.

Strong negotiation skills are essential for setting monthly objectives and sales incentives with distributor leadership.
