Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Market Area Manager to oversee collection and post-collection operations, represent the company to customers, vendors, and local authorities, and drive initiatives that support growth across one or more sites.

You will implement market plans, manage budgets, safety programs, staffing, and performance, and develop sales and marketing strategies to improve pricing, growth, and retention while ensuring regulatory compliance and environmentally responsible

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in business or logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics preferred.
• Certification in Project Management preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day market operations and budgets.
• Lead safety culture and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Casella policies.
• Manage staffing and staff development.
• Develop and execute sales/marketing strategy to reflect pricing, growth, and retention.
• Negotiate contracts and renewals with external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering for fleet and equipment.
• Collaborate with regional leadership on goals and action plans.
• Ensure environmental compliance at market facilities.
• Monitor performance through regular P&L reviews.
• Interact with local agencies to foster customer satisfaction.
