Job summary

MBC in Arlington, VA is seeking a Mid-Level Training Specialist to support DPAE Maritime/SEA 21 for the U.S. Navy's Surface Ship Modernization program. You will design and deliver training, assess needs, prepare materials, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Role requires 5+ years in Navy training and DoD clearance eligibility, with travel to client sites as needed and a focus on process improvement and documentation.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of Navy program office training experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Eligibility to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a US-accredited institution.
  • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and supervise training programs for employees and external customers to help employees develop new skills and enhance productivity.
  • Plan and develop training programs by assessing and identifying training needs.
  • Set up teaching materials and issue completion certificates at the end of the class.
  • Consult with onsite supervisors regarding available performance improvement services.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents per Navy guidelines.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls and communicate information to government leadership.
  • Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation.
  • Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and assist in action item closure.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and travel arrangements for government customers.
  • Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with presentations and communications as required.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at client sites, and obtain required certifications.
