Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Security Manager / Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) to lead security operations at the terminal in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

You will ensure ISPS compliance, manage the security contractor, and coordinate with port authorities and vessel security officers to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. The role requires at least 5 years in security management, ISPS/MARSEC expertise, and the ability to obtain TWIC credentials.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years security management experience, preferably maritime/transport.
  • Strong knowledge of ISPS Code, MARSEC levels, and port security regulations.
  • Experience overseeing contracted security services and vendors.
  • Proficiency with CCTV, access control, and incident reporting tools.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC and related credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead security activities to ensure ISPS compliance and high safety standards.
  • Oversee outsourced security company and ensure service quality and performance.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and post assignments for full coverage.
  • Lead incident response and investigation efforts with proper documentation.
  • Conduct drills, audits, and inspections to maintain readiness and compliance.
  • Provide regular reports to the General Manager on security status and improvements.
  • Collaborate with port authorities, Coast Guard, vessel security officers, and law enforcement.
