Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Materials and Process Development Manager, NPI to lead the Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team. You will drive development of materials, processes and manufacturing systems for new maritime vehicles, partnering with design, fabrication, and suppliers to deliver rapid, on-time production.

The role requires 10+ years in materials and processes leadership, a track record in automation and prototyping, and eligibility for a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as manager for materials and processes technology development, manufacturing engineering, and/or production/process engineering.
• Technology development experience in materials, automation, prototyping, and processes.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Preferred: experience with architecture/infrastructure engineering partners and/or general contractors to build or modify production facilities.
• Experience applying lean manufacturing and linear flow principles in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and own the materials and processes development solutions for new technologies supporting product and factory development and future production systems.
• Question requirements in product and production system design to ensure cost- and schedule-effective factory solutions.
• Support design, construction, commissioning and start-up of production systems at new factory sites.
• Provide strategic leadership on product processes, materials and technologies to meet production performance and timelines.
• Lead hands-on, set an example, and expedite project completion.
