Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to scale maritime hardware production. You will lead and grow the Manufacturing Engineering and Planning teams, shaping how complex systems move from R&D to high-rate production, while ensuring cost, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will champion robust processes compliant with NAVSEA standards, mentor talent, and partner across functions to deliver on-time, on-budget programs in a dynamic defense

Qualifications

• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with 3+ years in a direct leadership role.
• Experience leading NPI teams and scaling hardware products into high-rate production.
• Technical foundation in mechanical assembly, electrical integration, or precision machining.
• Hands-on experience with MES and PDM software.
• Proven problem-solving using first-principles under tight timelines and budgets.
• U.S. Person eligible for access to export-controlled information and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop manufacturing engineers and planners to meet department and company goals.
• Define and execute manufacturing roadmap and qualification strategies for rapid transition to high-rate production.
• Oversee creation of manufacturing plans, optimize routings, and translate drawings into shop-floor instructions.
• Own MBOM strategy and as-built configuration tracking from EBOM.
• Lead DFM/DFX producibility assessments in collaboration with design engineering.
• Drive root-cause analysis, statistical validations, and yield optimization.
• Interface across Design, Quality, Supply Chain, Tooling, and Operations to manage schedules and budgets.
