You will file AES, AMS, and other regulatory submissions, monitor schedules, and maintain vessel and shipment data, serving as SME for assigned customers. The role requires strong communication, organization, and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
• Prior experience in freight forwarding, maritime documentation, or logistics preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, with minimum 60 wpm typing speed.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills; independent judgment with escalation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, review, and dispatch cargo documentation (bills of lading, manifests, certificates of origin, etc.) per customer instructions.
• File AES, AMS, and other regulatory submissions accurately and on time.
• Monitor vessel schedules and deadlines to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate vessel, cargo, and shipment data in internal systems.
• Communicate with shippers, receivers, terminals, agents, and third-party vendors to obtain shipment information and respond to inquiries.
• Serve as documentation SME for assigned customers and maintain customer profiles and job aids.
• Assist team members with preparing, reviewing, releasing, and dispatching cargo documents during busy periods.
• Escalate commercial, regulatory, or service issues to management as needed.
• Support audits, corrections, and post-shipment documentation updates.
