Job summary

Host Agency, LLC is seeking a Freight Forwarder responsible for accurate and timely maritime cargo documentation for import and export vessel calls across multiple commodities. The role operates with independence, managing end-to-end documentation workflows and serving as a SME for assigned customers.

Key duties include preparing and dispatching documents, filing regulatory submissions, and coordinating with shippers, terminals, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Prior freight forwarding or maritime documentation experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Excel; 60 wpm typing speed; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, review, and dispatch cargo documents (B/Ls, manifests, certificates of origin, etc.) per customer instructions.
• File AES, AMS, and other regulatory submissions accurately and on time.
• Monitor vessel schedules and documentation deadlines to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.
• Maintain vessel, cargo, and shipment data in internal systems and databases.
• Communicate with shippers, receivers, terminals, agents, and third-party vendors for shipment information.
• Serve as documentation SME for assigned customers; maintain profiles and job aids.
• Assist team in preparing, reviewing, and dispatching documents as needed.
• Escalate commercial, regulatory, or service issues to management.
• Support audits, corrections, and post-shipment documentation updates.
