Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the Production Controls team in Santa Ana, CA. You will develop discrete-event simulation models and critical chain schedules to drive production planning for our AI factory, visualizing systems, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing resource allocation to translate insights into actionable control decisions.

This hands-on role requires strong Operations Research fundamentals and scripting to automate workflows, improving throughput

Qualifications

10+ years in production system design, factory design, or manufacturing engineering for large complex products.
Demonstrated capacity or rate modeling: you built the model, defended the number, and were held to it.
Comfort with simulation or quantitative modeling (FlexSim, Simio, AnyLogic, Plant Simulation, or Python).
No degree required. We hire on demonstrated capability; apprenticeship, Navy Nuclear Power School, military experience, or self-taught modeling count.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Plan plant and equipment layouts for a new maritime factory.
Develop capacity plans and rate models with sensitivity analysis.
Sequence operations and determine parallelization and timings.
Create discrete-event simulations to validate capacity before building occurs.
Lead design of production systems across vendors and internal teams.
Define requirements to architecture/engineering firms and review responses.
Conduct trade studies and select configurations, bays, and levels of automation.
