Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana (CA) seeks an Industrial Engineer for the Production Controls team to build and maintain discrete event simulations and critical chain schedules that drive production planning for our AI-driven maritime factory. You will craft models, optimize resources, and translate insights into actionable control decisions.

This hands-on role emphasizes scripting to automate workflows and speed decision making.

Qualifications

10+ years in production system design or manufacturing engineering for large complex products.
Demonstrated capacity or rate modeling with defendable numbers.
Proficiency with simulation or quantitative modeling tools (FlexSim, Simio, AnyLogic, Plant Simulation, or Python).
No degree required; demonstrated capability counts.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Plan plant and equipment layouts, material flows, and space in a new maritime factory.
Develop capacity plans and rate models with sensitivity analysis.
Sequence operations and workflows; define stations and parallel tasks.
Perform discrete-event simulation of the factory and line to validate capacity.
Design and optimize production systems integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
Feed precedence networks that a dynamic scheduler (LOKI) uses.
Provide technical direction on production system design across builds and processes.
Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms and outside consultants.
