Job summary

Leidos' Maritime Systems Division in Lynnwood, WA seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support assembly, testing, and production of electro-mechanical devices for surface and subsea applications. Applicants must read schematics, perform electrical and mechanical assembly, utilize lab instruments (oscilloscopes, DMMs, generators), and solder to J-STD-001; maintain documentation and a safe workspace.

U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 5–7 years related experience.
• Current active SECRET security clearance.
• Ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly.
• Experience with basic machine shop tools and wood working tools.
• Familiar with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, frequency generators).
• Soldering to J-STD-001; willingness to obtain certification.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated.
• Able to work with others and communicate effectively.
• Experience in ESd environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical wiring harnesses and connectors.
• Assemble components on PCBs and test.
• Inspect circuit cards and test assemblies.
• Use lab equipment to troubleshoot assemblies.
• Perform mechanical assembly and test subsystems.
• Pot and encapsulate connectors and subassemblies.
• Follow drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Document serial numbers and non-conformances.
• Assist in developing test procedures and safety practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
