Job summary

Leidos seeks an Electronics Technician for the Navy SEAFAC facility in Ketchikan, AK. You will support assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of low voltage AC/DC electronic devices for surface and subsea applications, with on-water operations and occasional overnight stays.

The role requires reading schematics, working with lab equipment, and maintaining safety and documentation while ensuring quality in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance for consideration.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience reading schematics and drawings.
• Understand low voltage AC and DC systems.
• Familiar with and capable of operating standard electronic test equipment.
• Must be self-motivated and able to switch tasks quickly.
• Willingness to travel outside local occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and operate small boats in various weather conditions.
• Construct component racks and assemble electronic subassemblies; troubleshoot as needed.
• Operate shop equipment and maintain documentation and logs.
• Inventory parts and manage kits for assembly.
• Prepare Daily Activity Log and ensure safety procedures.
