Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Maritime Systems Engineering Lead to drive the technical development of maritime products from concept to delivery. You will partner with Anduril’s Strategy team and customers to tie requirements to inputs and ensure traceability to program decisions.

You will set objectives, build cross-functional teams, and rapidly drive projects to completion, leveraging prior experience leading multi-disciplinary, defense-focused programs in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience with technical leadership and systems engineering on defense systems or weapon programs.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Travel 25% to Customer and Test Sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the initial design, prototyping, capability verification, and delivery of a maritime autonomous weapon system.
• Manage the initial design of the system and subsystems including system architecture development, requirements definition, system and sub-system trades and optimization, risk management etc. to shape the product.
• Perform systems engineering and trade analyses to enable exploration and rapid iteration of early conceptual designs with SMEs and strategic growth team.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure design for manufacturing is embedded in concept and matured for full-rate production at scale.
• Work with senior leadership to ensure resource plans are adequate for work scope.
• Oversee technical execution of the generation of a new surface product for Anduril Maritime.
• Define key capabilities, milestones, and demonstrations to enable continuous development and maturation of autonomous systems.
