Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. in Quincy, MA is seeking a Chief Engineer for Maritime Integrated Systems to lead the technical development of maritime products from concept to delivery.

You will work with Anduril’s Strategy team and customers to ensure requirements tie to inputs and traceability to program decisions. You will leverage your systems engineering expertise and leadership to build cross-functional teams, guide design decisions, and rapidly drive concept designs toward fieldable solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years experience with technical leadership and systems engineering on defense systems or weapon programs.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Travel 25% to Customer and Test Sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the initial design, prototyping, capability verification, and delivery of a maritime autonomous weapon system.
• Manage the initial design of the system and subsystems including system architecture development, requirements definition, system and sub-system trades and optimization, risk management etc.
• Perform systems engineering and trade analyses to enable exploration and rapid iteration of early conceptual designs, with SMEs and strategic growth team.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain to embed design for manufacturing in concepts and mature for full-rate production.
• Work with senior leadership to ensure resource plans are adequate for work scope.
• Oversee technical execution of the generation of a new surface product for Anduril Maritime.
• Define key capabilities, milestones, and demonstrations to enable continuous development of autonomous systems.
