American International Group (AIG) invites you to a Summer Intern in the Underwriting - Marine department. The 9-week program offers hands-on experience and learning opportunities within Inland Marine, Ocean Cargo, and Marine Liability underwriting.

You will work with leaders on dynamic projects, attend masterclasses, and build professional connections. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be completed by June 2028, with in-person office requirements; internship runs June 7 through August 6, 2027.

Qualificações

• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred majors include Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics.

Responsabilidades

• Support the evaluation and underwriting of risks across Inland Marine, Ocean Cargo, Marine Liability, and related specialty products.
• Review underwriting submissions, exposure information, loss history, and other data to support risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
• Partner with underwriters, risk consultants, claims professionals, and multinational specialists to develop tailored insurance solutions.
• Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business, renewals, and portfolio growth.
• Analyze market trends and emerging risks related to transportation, global trade, and commerce to support underwriting decisions.
• Develop technical knowledge of marine insurance and build analytical, decision-making, and relationship-management skills.
