Job summary

Fincantieri Marine Group is hiring Electricians for our Marinette, WI shipyard. The role involves installing and repairing electrical systems aboard ship and in shipyard facilities, following blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Candidates must have knowledge of electrical theory and the ability to troubleshoot 600 V and lower systems. This first shift position runs Monday to Thursday, 5:00am to 3:00pm, and requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in inclement weather, with

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Must be a U.S. person.
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work in inclement weather.
Available to work Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:00pm.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Five (5) years of related electrical installation and repair experience with knowledge of blue prints and hand tools.

Responsibilities

Install conduit to bulkheads and run wires to terminals and panels.
Strip insulation and solder wire ends to terminals.
Run cables and assemble harnesses and terminations.
Connect power-supply circuits to radio, radar, sonar, and other equipment; test with voltmeters and ohmmeters.
Test internal circuits for continuity, resistance and grounds; compare to specs.
Wear PPE as required by OSHA and job safety rules.
