Job summary

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, WI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership on vessel construction and repair projects. Qualifications

• Ability to develop, review, and interpret complex electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams.
• Working knowledge of marine electrical systems, shipbuilding practices, and applicable rules and regulations including ABS, USCG, SOLAS.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Cadmatic, ShipConstructor, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar software for electrical design and analysis.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor.
• Must adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and issue quality electrical engineering deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, ECNs, and other technical documentation.
• Design and support marine electrical systems for vessel construction and repair projects while ensuring compliance with project requirements, customer specifications, and applicable regulations.
• Provide engineering support in the shipyard by reviewing electrical installations, verifying work accuracy, resolving field issues, answering production questions, and assisting with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate assigned engineering activities with production, project management, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to support project schedules, budgets, and successful vessel delivery.
• Other duties as assigned
