Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of electrical/electromechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with marine electrical systems and weather/hazard awareness.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and follow diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical systems, and equipment on marine vessels and shipyard buildings.
• Inspect systems and electrical parts to detect hazards, defects, and needs for adjustments or repair.
• Test internal circuits and measure quantities; troubleshoot equipment to determine needed maintenance or replacement.
• Maintain and repair generators, switchboards, controllers, and distribution panels; work with minimal supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
