Job summary

AMIT GPS & NAVIGATION LLP seeks a Workshop Manager to lead the service department, oversee staffing and training, and ensure safety and policy compliance. You will coordinate with the workshop manager on scheduling and technician performance, assist sales with technical insights, and drive performance reporting.

You will bring a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years in marine service management, Mercury certification, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of service management experience in the marine industry.
• Mercury certification required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Willing to travel; flexible to work weekends/holidays.
• MTU/ZF certification or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the service department, including staffing and training.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with the workshop manager for scheduling and technician performance.
• Support the sales team with technical insights and assistance.
• Attend management meetings and submit performance reports.
• Develop and implement service strategies aligned with company goals.
• Optimize resource allocation and ensure timely service delivery.
• Keep up with industry trends to suggest improvements.
• Lead hiring, training, and mentoring of service staff.
