Job summary

AMIT GPS & NAVIGATION LLP in the United States is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee daily workshop operations, manage scheduling, and ensure high-quality work and safety compliance.   • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a workshop management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of outboard and inboard engines and their components.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling work and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ensure that all work performed by technicians meets high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure availability and maintenance of tools and equipment to support workshop operations.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to schedule work and prioritize jobs per customer requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment and enforce safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, storekeeping, and other stakeholders for timely completion of work.
  • Liaise with the service manager regarding invoices, technician performance, warranty jobs, and training.
  • Maintain accurate records of workshop activities including work orders, invoicing, and job costing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service including communication during repair, estimates, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare daily task reports for technicians.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the sales team to schedule work and prioritize jobs according to customer requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment for both technicians and customers, ensuring all equipment is in good working order and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department, storekeeper, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Liaise closely with the service manager regarding invoices, payment, technician performance, warranty jobs, and technical training.
  • Maintain accurate records of all workshop activities, including work orders, invoicing, and job costing.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and effective service to customers, including communication throughout the repair process, providing estimates, and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Prepare daily task reports for technicians.
Desired Candidate Profile
