Job summary

Orion Marine Group is seeking a Safety & Compliance professional to oversee safety programs for marine construction operations. Based in Mobile, AL, the role requires developing policies, coordinating training, and supporting incident reporting and risk management.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of safety experience in marine environments, a safety degree (BS/AS), and the ability to obtain BCSP credentials within a year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years safety and health experience in marine construction.
• B.S. or A.A.S. degree in Occupational/Industrial Safety preferred.
• BCSP credential required or obtainable within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative analytical and Safety project support.
• Update weekly safety project reports and monthly PCSR reports.
• Support bid proposals with Safety plans and statistical data.
• Develop and maintain Safety department files.
• Assist with safety inspections and audits as a team member.
• Assist with safety data analysis to identify improvements.
• Coordinate training registrations and instructor support.
• Provide safety and incident documentation and insurance data.
• Enter data into Safety Management System (Intelex) and related systems.
