Job summary

Orion Marine Group is seeking a Safety & Compliance professional to develop and maintain safety programs and policies for marine construction operations. The role provides safety management oversight across all geographic areas where the company operates, supporting integrity, safety, quality, delivery and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in marine safety, a safety degree, and BCSP credential requirements, with strong communication and training skills to interface across levels

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years safety and health experience in marine construction environment.
• A B.S. or A.A.S. Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety or related discipline strongly preferred.
• A BCSP safety credential (CSP ASP CHST OHST STS-C, etc.) is required or obtainable within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative analytical and Safety project support.
• Update weekly safety project reports, monthly PCSR reports, and quarterly safety recognition reports.
• Support bid proposals with Safety Plans, emergency action plans, and statistical information.
• Develop and maintain the Safety department office files.
• Assist with Safety inspections and audits as a team member.
• Analyze safety data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate training registration, scheduling, and support instructors.
• Support claims data by reporting and gathering insurance-related information.
• Data entry into Safety Management System databases (e.g., Intelex).
