Job summary

Malibu Boats in Town of Florida, NY is seeking a Project Engineer I to manage smaller projects within Marine Components, contributing to larger initiatives through mechanical design, process engineering, and supplier/customer coordination.

You will support business development and drive manufacturing improvements, with hands-on CAD work, BOMs, and participation in project reviews to ensure on-time, in-spec execution.

Qualifications

• Education: BSME or related degree from ABET accredited university preferred.
• Language Skills - English required for effective communication.
• Mathematical Skills: basic algebraic problem solving.
• Reasoning Ability: strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, and root cause analysis.
• Other Qualifications: CPM, PE, or other professional certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects for a variety of Marine Components products, including metal parts, towers, flooring, and related items, with potential expansion into other segments.
• Create and execute schedules for smaller projects; coordinate with suppliers and customers to meet milestones and track progress
• Develop product quotes and manufacturing plans, including design and documentation of processes, tooling, and production requirements
• Contribute new ideas to technical and project challenges to drive innovation within teams
• Work with leadership to develop and maintain accurate project timelines and assist in project reviews
• Oversee prototype, pre-production, and sample builds with BOM creation, engineering change management, and resource coordination
