Job summary

MBI's Marine Components division in Fort Pierce, FL seeks a Project Engineer I to manage small projects and contribute to larger initiatives. You will handle mechanical design, process engineering, supplier and customer coordination, and support business development.

Responsibilities include scheduling, quotes, tooling, BOMs, GD&T adherence, and hands-on production support with CNC and laser equipment. You will work with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver on-time, in-spec results and

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BSME or related degree; 1–3 yrs or equivalent experience as engineer/designer (5+ yrs preferred).
English required; effective communication skills.
Mathematical skills up to algebra;
Strong problem solving, root cause analysis;
CPM, PE, or other professional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Create and execute schedules for smaller projects and coordinate with suppliers/customers to milestones.
Develop quotes and manufacturing plans, including processes, tooling, and production requirements.
Contribute ideas and solutions to technical/project challenges to drive innovation.
Maintain project timelines with leadership and engineering teams.
Oversee prototype, pre-production, and sample builds, including BOM creation and change management.
