Job summary

MBI's Marine Components division in Fort Pierce, FL seeks a Project Engineer I to manage small projects and contribute to larger initiatives. You will handle mechanical design, process engineering, supplier and customer coordination, and support business development.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited BSME or related degree; 1–3 yrs or equivalent experience as engineer/designer (5+ yrs preferred).
  • English required; effective communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills up to algebra;
  • Strong problem solving, root cause analysis;
  • CPM, PE, or other professional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute schedules for smaller projects and coordinate with suppliers/customers to milestones.
  • Develop quotes and manufacturing plans, including processes, tooling, and production requirements.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to technical/project challenges to drive innovation.
  • Maintain project timelines with leadership and engineering teams.
  • Oversee prototype, pre-production, and sample builds, including BOM creation and change management.
