Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Technician to join Marine Operations in a hybrid role, supporting Inland Marine Operations and Field Underwriting. Responsibilities include processing new business and renewals, handling endorsements, and coordinating with the offshore team to ensure timely issuance.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year experience in insurance or customer service, strong attention to detail, and solid computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Processes new business, renewals and bypass renewals within quality standards ensuring that proper issuance documentation is complete and accurate within the established guidelines.
• Provide clear and accurate instructions for issuance to offshore team.
• Request additional information from underwriting as needed and use appropriate communication channels to refer or follow up with UA/UT to ensure outstanding items are handled timely.
• Processing of subsequent transactions (endorsements, reporting adjustments, cancellations, reinstatements) ensuring that the request meets the subsequent transaction bypass guidelines.
• Follow escalation procedures for system, rushes and problem resolution, keeping impacted parties informed.
• Work with Operations Manager to facilitate continuous operational improvements, take on assignments to increase efficiency and improve service
