Job summary

Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick, seeks a Business Development Manager to grow the Independent Boatbuilder network within the OEM territory and lead Mercury Racing sales nationwide. The BDM will coach, develop and expand sales, market share and profitability across OEM and Racing product lines.

The role reports to the Regional Business Director and requires extensive travel (50% overnight) and strong negotiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience within Marine/Recreational Industry or Sales/Business/Marketing roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional collaboration capability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet/intranet and CRM.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel at least 50% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with independent boatbuilder partners and identify new OEM and Mercury Racing opportunities.
• Drive growth of OEM business in the territory and Mercury Racing business nationally, ensuring alignment with sales, market share and profitability objectives.
• Lead development and execution of territory-based OEM strategies and national Mercury Racing sales strategies.
• Serve as the primary commercial lead for Mercury Racing sales nationwide, including pipeline development and customer engagement.
• Create and manage accurate sales forecasts for Mercury Racing, including financial projections and demand planning.
