Job summary

Carrier Marine & Offshore Systems is seeking a Service Sales Account Manager for our Syracuse, NY marine service team. The role focuses on maintaining a network of end customers, building long-term relationships, and developing service contracts while coordinating with the Service Manager and Managing Director.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of Commercial HVAC service experience and travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of Commercial HVAC service industry experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally as required by business needs.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• 5 years of experience in maritime HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of Carrier products and services.
• Knowledge of the marine market and key customers.
• Commercial skills and good oral communication skills to maintain the network and negotiate during (customer) calls.
• Financial insight.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a network of end customers.
• Builds long-term relationships with customers by maintaining active contacts, with internal/external parties for Project Management and Sales.
• Prepares service contracts for new and existing customers and submits them for approval.
• Signals complaints and bottlenecks and undertakes improvement actions.
• Prepares quotations, both proactive and reactive.
• Performs research on board ships to improve efficiency and provides advice to the customer.
• Follows market developments and identifies opportunities for service product development.
• Translates sales opportunities into strategy and plans.
• Negotiates terms and conditions of contract and sales.
• Accounts for all projects.
