Job summary

Manson Construction Co. is seeking a field-focused civil/construct ion management engineer to support multiple Northwest projects from Seattle. You will work with senior engineers and project managers to review drawings, support QC, and help manage field activities on marine construction sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, documentation, and collaboration with crews, vendors, and clients to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combinations of technical training and relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years of construction experience
• Marine, structures, heavy lifts, or concrete construction experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Basic Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review work activities and participate in JSAs.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, design specs, and material requirements for quality and contract compliance.
• Maintain, document and distribute up-to-date plans and specs to management, crews, vendors and subcontractors.
• Keep accurate project documentation including daily reports and progress tracking logs.
• Prepare daily documentation including reports, photos, and timecards.
• Coordinate material deliveries and inspect documents and material on arrival.
• Coordinate schedule between crews and subcontractors and help develop the 5-week schedule.
• Plan field layout with field crews and project team on site.
• Prepare contract submittals and review vendor/subcontractor submittals before transmission to Client.
• Participate in safety audits and learn safety procedures (OSHA, EMS-385).
• Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics, federal contractor obligations, and union agreements; maintain reporting standards.
• Promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) environment.
