Job summary

Manson Construction Co. in Richmond, CA is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Project Management Team, providing onsite engineering support, quality control, and construction management assistance across Bay Area projects.

You will review drawings, prepare daily reports, coordinate schedules and subcontractors, and help maintain safety and compliance at diverse marine construction sites. A civil engineering or construction management background and hands-on problem solving are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline preferred; equivalent combinations of technical training and relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years of construction experience
• Marine, structures, heavy lifts, or concrete construction experience preferred
• Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record required
• Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Basic Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review work activities and participate in creating JSAs.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, design specifications, and material requirements for quality and contract compliance.
• Maintain, document and distribute up-to-date plans and specs to management, crews, vendors and subcontractors.
• Keep accurate project documentation including daily reports and progress logs.
• Prepare daily reports, photographs, and timecards.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and inspect documents and materials upon arrival.
