Job summary

Associated Terminals is seeking an Equipment Operator Trainee to join our marine terminal team. You will operate and maintain diverse equipment, transport cargoes, and work in varied weather and elevations. Rotation shifts, emphasis on safety, and opportunities for growth are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar industrial position (preferred).
• Working experience in the stevedoring industry (preferred).
• Ability to safely operate assigned equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of rig operation and maintenance programs.
• Proficiency in equipment and deck operations.
• Must be physically fit to perform all essential physical demands safely.
• Must possess a TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment such as Track hoe, front-end loader, bobcat, etc.
• Transport various cargoes to ship and barge holds, deck and dock areas while navigating around other equipment and personnel.
• Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Act as a signal man for other equipment operators and crane operators.
• Complete daily inspection reports and forward to maintenance as needed.
• Support company safety initiatives and comply with all operational directives and company policies.
