As an Equipment Operator II, you will operate heavy equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders, cranes, and industrial forklifts to safely load, unload, and transport bulk materials, including sulfur, gravel, gypsum, potash, and slag. You'll work in a fast-paced terminal environment where safety, teamwork, and operational excellence are essential.
What your day looks like as Equipment Operator:
Safely operate a variety of heavy maritime equipment, including cranes, excavators, front-end loaders, and other machinery used in bulk cargo handling operations.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Load, unload, and transfer bulk materials between vessels, trucks, and rail while maintaining efficiency and proper cargo handling procedures.
Work closely with terminal teams to support smooth cargo flow, maximize productivity, and minimize operational delays.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and terminal procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage, cargo movements, and operational activities.
Identify equipment issues and perform basic troubleshooting or minor repairs as needed.
Support the training and development of new operators by sharing knowledge of equipment operation and safety practices.
