Qualifications

• Four or more years in marine power generation and power distribution with a focus on variable frequency drives for LV/MV systems.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in marine/offshore environments and procedures.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel for on-site support.
• Experience as ship electrician or at shipyards is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance for MV/LV drives in ABB Marine delivered systems on vessels worldwide.
• Occasionally perform field service activities including on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and operator training.
• Support customers remotely from the office via phone, email, and chat.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting using ABB's Remote Diagnostic System (RDS).
• Provide internal technical advisory support within ABB Marine.
• Contribute to development and R&D for advanced services and solutions.
• Document work using appropriate support and reporting tools and close cases promptly.
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive small implementation actions.
