Job summary

ABB's Marine, Power and Automation division in the United States invites applications for a Marine Field Service Engineer in Houston, TX. The role involves installing, modifying, testing and repairing ABB equipment aboard vessels and in dry docks, with occasional global travel and offshore assignments.

You will work hybrid, coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure uptime and safety, using experienced judgment and strong English communication to meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience preferred in marine power generation and power distribution with a focus on protection relays, breakers and related systems.
• Familiarity with marine/offshore work Environment and procedures.
• Experience with ABB marine equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer premises globally, often onboard vessels in offshore or dry-dock settings.
• Install, modify, test, repair or inspect ABB products and equipment including power generation and control systems.
• Coordinate work with other groups to meet customer commitments.
• Provide remote on-call support for customer technical problems.
