Job summary

Orion Group Holdings, Inc. seeks a Crane Operator to support field operations at marine project locations in Goose Creek, SC.

The role involves operating cranes, rigging, and hoisting equipment on construction or repair of terminals and dock facilities. You will work with a diverse team including the Barge Foreman and Welders, perform daily maintenance, safety inspections, and contribute to safety and environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years crane operations experience on land and barges.
• Ability to read crane load charts and determine load/radius.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment, slings, and load blocks.
• Must be able to pass crane operations certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic or rubber-tire cranes on marine projects.
• Unload and assemble crane and hoisting equipment on site.
• Move loads safely over designated areas following charts.
• Maintain equipment with cleaning, greasing, fueling daily.
• Perform safety inspections and report issues.
• Work with Barge Foreman, Welders, and crew to complete projects.
• Support safety and environmental initiatives.
