Job summary

Orion Marine Group in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Crane Operator to support field operations on marine project locations. You will operate hydraulic cranes on barges and land, assist in unloading and assembling hoisting equipment, and coordinate with foremen and crafts to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

The role requires at least two years of crane experience on land or barges, proficiency with load charts, and strong safety discipline, including proper PPE use and compliance with

Qualifications

Two (2) years crane operations experience on land and on barges or equivalent training.
Ability to read crane load charts to determine load/radius capabilities.
General knowledge of construction rigging (slings, chokers, spreader bars, load blocks).
Capable of passing crane operations certification test.

Responsibilities

Operate hydraulic rubber tire or track crane on marine construction projects.
Unloading and assembling crane or hoisting equipment for use on site.
Maneuver and position loads safely over designated areas.
Follow safety practices, inspect crane daily, and report unsafe conditions.
Coordinate with Barge Foreman, Welders, Laborers and other crafts to complete projects.
