Job summary

Orion Marine Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for our Houston, TX office. You will provide project engineering support, develop subcontractor bid packages, and manage costs, procurement, and scheduling for Gulf Coast projects.

You will interpret plans, interface with superintendents and suppliers, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving project completion and closeout.

Qualifications

• BS degree in civil engineering/construction management required.
• 2-3 years’ experience or related discipline preferred.
• Working knowledge of project management & administration, estimating, scheduling and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Project Management Team to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Monitors costs for materials, labor, services and other expenses.
• Develops bid packages for subcontractors.
• Procures subcontractors and materials from suppliers as needed.
• Interprets project plans and specs.
• Schedules work activities to meet timelines.
• Interfaces with project team, suppliers and customers.
• Ensures safety and compliance for the project team.
